I am always amazed at how the Left denies its influence in most media and overreacts in rageful opinion sections to people like Ann Coulter. Last night, I watched 4 different news programs describe Bush as "pleading" for patience, then I opened today's newspaper, where the front page announced that "Bush pleads for patience" on the anniversary of the war in Iraq. When I actually listened to the President speaking on the issue, there was no "pleading" in his voice! The media wants us to think that they've got Bush against the ropes, and now he's pleading and whining, virtually begging the Left for support. They want him to look like a buffoon, so they take his words and actions and interpret them to mean what they want it to mean so that their agenda of Power-at-all-Cost becomes fulfilled. I don't think the Left really cares about the future of America, though they purport that their resistance is "patriotic." I wish that people on the Left could react to this war the same way that America reacted to WWII. They weren't griping about the environment in WWII. Civilians rationed and sacrificed so that the war effort would be successful. The thing is, the threat is the same. There are people who want to take over the world (Islamo-fascists) the same way that Hitler wanted to take over the world.
